come along beloved i have found a most wonderful establishment… in it you pay to build a creature out of countless options, you are allowed to choose its voice and message (i have decided mine will say deranged things about you) then a servant sticks it in a machine that fills it up with its life force, a heart and even an artificial odour. then you must hug it so a piece of your soul is intertwined with the creature, daniel, and then you get to pick its clothes. the entire process reminded me of you, and how i filled you up with my lifeblood more than once, and chose your clothes, and how for years vampires could smell me on you through your amulet even after i was long gone and your memories of us together forgotten. … maybe if this build-a-bear had been around our separation would’ve been easier for me. i have decided. we shall each make a bear in the other’s image

man i don’t know. with a distance i get WHY they’d make her white “when i saw baby katniss i thought it was louella” but come on. they’re already making so many seam characters white blonde and blue eyed and RUE is said to remind katniss of prim so why can’t it be the same? something about the way she holds herself, or talks, or even her hairstyle. and yeah it was a huge thing when the casting came out for thg how many people were huge assholes about rue being black despite the book clearly describing her as such bc prim is white and blonde and people can’t read but. is this just cowardice? trying to avoid the same bigoted backlash almost 20 years later???? it just makes it more palatable to white audiences which i get to an extent, spread the message (or make more money), but it isn’t MEANT to be palatable.

my combat boot just hasn’t been the same since it went through actual combat (lady gaga concert on the beach w 5 million people) so i’m looking for a new one and. i found it. but it’s not a practical color bc what if my personality completely changes and i stop liking dark red? they’re supposed to last you decades.
