A group of former VISA employees have successfully raised $14.5 million for a new Bitcoin payment processor company to be called BITNET. The round notably included Japanâs largest online retailer, Rakuten, which will actually integrate Bitnetâs product to handle BTC payments. This new player is looking to rival the biggest companies in the bitcoin space, specifically Bitpay and Coinbase, which is a tall order, but ultimately great for the industry.
