Rant
You know what, if you have a fucking problem with me say it to my face. If you say it to other people it WILL get back to me. And it will only piss me off more. Get the stick out of your ass, pull up your big girl thong and come confront me. I don't have anymore room in my life for negative bitchy people that want to talk shit behind my back. Speak to me like an adult or get the fuck out and shut your mouth. End rant.
I was a bitch at Target
Ok so earlier I was at Target looking around and stuff and ended up with 2 things, a crate and an itunes card. So we walk up to the checkout lines and it is packed since there was only two lines open. Then one of the supervisors was saying it was the end of the shift and she can't force her workers to stay past their scheduled times. She also said one of the ladies sons was in a really bad motorcycle accident and had to leave earlier. The lady in front of me who had a baby and a toddler in the cart with a friend of hers is literally cussing and saying how this is fucking ridiculous and how it's always like this everytime she comes and that she would have been better off at walmart. Like seriously? The poor supervisor has probaby had a bad enough day without you complaining to her and talking loud enough for half the line to hear. So they ended up getting a backup register open and the guy said can I help whose next so I walked up to him since i was directly in front of his register and the lady literally hadn't even attempted to move. Then I got cussed out and also got a smartellicy remark of "or whoever decides to jump in front of people." I would usually never cut people off but nobody else seemed to go so I took my opportunity. I had two items TWO! she had a fucking cart full. I don't want to sound mean or like a bitch but my boyfriend says it serves her right for being a freakin bitch. Jeezz all I wanted was to buy the Deadmau5 CD and not cause a fight in Target.
What the fuck. lol
Lol. I don't get why my race always has to be referred to in a negative sense. It is for that sole reason that I get 'urked' when I'm pointed out for it. In no way am I ashamed of any of my cultures. Anyone that knows me, knows how crazy diverse my family is. So why focus on me being 'Black'? For one, I'm African-American. I don't refer to anyone's race like a skin color. If I were to follow this stereotype, wouldn't it be strange if I perhaps, referred to a Chinese individual as "a Yellow man"? That sounds offensive in itself. I'm proud to be African-American. I'm proud to be Thai. I'm proud to be every single race that's in my blood. So I do not understand why someone has to pick out one of my races and use it in a negative sense.
It's extremely irritating and often awkward  to hang out with people and then be pointed out as "The Black Guy". It seems like everything I do or say has to do with me being of a certain race.
"You read manga? But you're Black."Â
"You have a tail? But you're Black."
"Your girlfriend is Asian/Mexican/etc? But you're Black."
"Don't you like Black girls?"
"You don't like fried chicken? But you're Black."
"You're Black, but you're kind of 'whitewashed'."
The list goes on. So because of all of these things, I'm strange? Because I'm African-American, I have to follow some sort of unwritten guidelines? Let me get something fucking clear. I'm not a 'wannabe' anything. All my life I have been dealing with bullshit like this. But here are two things that were said to me in my life that have really stuck out.
1. One 'friend' asked me this:
"Do you wish you were full Asian?"
Them being my friend, I kindly explained to them why the fuck that was one of the most moronic questions I have ever heard. That;s like asking if I ever wished I was full human. What the fuck. lol. We're all fucking human. So the answer is no. Me being 'full Asian' wouldn't change my personality. If someone is smart, they aren't smart because of their race. If someone is a dumbass, they're genuinely a dumbass. Not because they're any type of race or religion.
2. [Keep in mind, she really did not mean for it to come out this way, but it still hurt.]
"Haha, you and _____[my brother] aren't Asian but we accept you as Asians!"
Lol. It made me ask her what being my friend had to do with my race. She immediately apologized, but the damage was done. For one, we are Asian. That's not even the point. lol. Even if we were Jamaican-Austrailian natives living in Antarctica, what does that have to do with friendship? It was a really naive and ignorant comment to make. Regardless of her humorous and harmless intentions.
Bottom line, race and religion should not play into your friendship or relationship with someone. I'm currently preparing to stress that to my 'hopefully' future in-laws. If the person is really a good person, a good friend---what does race and religion have to do with any of that?
I don't have to speak/act/dress a certain way or even eat certain foods just because I'm a certain race.
Humans can be so damn ignorant at times.
