Yalçın Efe is the embodiment of biskuwi, the Turkish-born but Uppsala, Sweden-based producer dabbling in dark, ambient electronica. The latest is his efforts is EP “Norse” from which he shares two tracks. The first track which takes its namesake “Norse”, surges with a deep and spacious resonance, the cavernous drip of the track buliding over a quick, hi-hat shuffle of its tech house backing. Succeeding track “Transient States” has a lighter, loftier air its darker underlying shadowed by the ambient glow of its minimal arrangements and scaling keys.
