I had a customer loudly misgender me and make fun of my speech impediment yesterday. And had the nerve to say I call them deaf when they (likely pretended) they couldn't understand what I was saying. Fuck customers who trash colleagues to the ones who're serving them (I'd say "behind their backs", but said customer likely knew I was there and was clearly shouting to make sure I heard them).

I put off coming out and transitioning for the better part of a decade (after acknowledging I was trans in my late teens) because I was honestly convinced that there was no point in transitioning as an adult. I understand that Anon might not be in as good a place as I was, but still; miss me with the "too late" BS which put me in that position.
I’ve been getting a few comments on that post in the same vein as that anon. I don’t blame them for feeling hopeless, but at the same time, they’re acting like that post is just a pointless platitude, like I didn’t write it because of my own experiences and the experiences of people I know and love. A sentence that I wrote a year ago, because I was sick and tired of hearing about girls like me killing themselves, is a meaningless platitude. Sure. Let’s go with that.
