A Very Happy Birthday to actress Adrienne Barbeau who turns 80 yeats old today.

Well known for her work on the stage, tv and in films, Adrienne is best known for her roles of Alice Cable in "Swamp Thing", Stevie Wayne in "The Fog" and voicing Catwoman/Selina Kyle on Batman the Animated Series.

The event is just around the corner! As you already know, Shibuya 109 is hosting a pop-up event to help celebrate the 27th birthday of Tamagotchi. The event starts on Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 through Sunday, November 26th, 2023 at Shibuya 109 COCO SPOT in Tokyo, Japan.

At the event you’ll have the opportunity to purchase a Tamagotchi Uni, including the new blue color, and the convention exclusive Tamagotchi Original shells! The Original shells are limited two of each type per person.

To capture pictures of the event, Shibuya 109 will be selling a Tamagotchi disposable camera, including flash, that features vintage Tamagotchi graphics in an adorable box! Graphics are inspired by the Tamagotchi Original packaging from 1996 in Japan, including the iconic UFO. Pictures from this disposable camera can actually be transferred to your smartphone, and saved electronically. Priced at ¥3,500 including tax. How retro?

The event will also feature Gal Wig Tamagotchi Uni Tama Stickers to those who purchase a Tamagotchi Uni. The Tama Sticker includes a limited use 16-digit download code that will help you download the Gal Wig. How cute?

What would an event be without Mametchi making an appearance? Mametchi will be making several appearances on the 8th floor of Shibuya 109 during the pop-up event The time to meet Mametchi is scheduled for 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00 from November 23rd, 2023 through November 26th, 2023 for about 20 minutes each time. Mametchi greetings may be changed or cancelled without notice.

To help celebrate the 27th birthday of Tamagotchi, Shibuya 109 has also decorated their building with Tamagotchi’s! That’s right, you’ll see that the decorations include the new Tamagotchi Uni, a Tamagotchi ID, Tamagotchi 4U, Keitei Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus, and Tamagotchi Original. The decorations have just been placed on the Shibuya 109 building as of November 16th, 2023! What a beautiful sight for all to see.

This is all very reminiscent of the Tamagotchi Uni teaser video released back in June, 2023 before the official announcement of the Tamagotchi Uni.

These are two prints (one plain and one colourized) by the German artist/printer Bruckmann. According to the collection index this print was done prior to 1800 but from my own experience I find that highly unlikely …. anyway, there is something else with these prints that I would like to point out. The inscription reads:

“General der Pariser National-Garde. geb. d. 1 Sepbr. 1757 zu Chavagnac im Depart der Oberen Loire"
