This is my print ‘Library Reflected’. Right at the end of the printing process on this one, there is a rather fiddly series of key blocks that show the library reflection. It is a bit of a tense moment because a lot of time goes into getting the print to this point and making sure that the eight small engraved plates are all inked and registered correctly is no mean feat with slightly wobbly hands. To chose this place of architecture I went for a walk through the city of Birmingham and I found that the building which stands out most for me is the Birmingham Library. On the way to the library I looked at a various amount of architecture including: The Hyatt Hotel, Selfridges. Grand Central and the paradise forum redevelopment.
