1.286kg/2.84lbs of Bird Aprons’ ‘textiletrash’ sorted + bundled + weighed between January 22nd and January 24th.

This batch was very interesting (and slow) to process: Since Bird Aprons only produces a few styles, all their scraps where very similar. The shapes repeated over and over, so I just found out which ones they were and categorized them by size. I made piles of each and then bundled and weighed them accordingly. 

It felt like an archaeological classification project, and I LOVED that... Really. It was as witnessing a landscape forming – on my floor. Examining all these bits of fabric with a story. Not only those from the long-lost artisanal factories that Tiziana and Marta source from, but also the stories of T+M’s work/life.
