I’ve always wanted to do one of those draw-the-squad memes, and it took getting into an art block to remember that that was something I wanted to draw. 😅 Originally, the high (low?) five was between Mal and Piri, but the humor slaps (pun intended) more when it’s Indo instead.
As a fun tidbit, we have C. javanica* trees that give that cherry blossom/sakura/P. serrulata vibe! 🌸 Blooming season in the Philippines actually starts in late February, I'm just posting this "earlier" for reasons.
*Totally unsure if it's C. nodosa, because I'd see the two given species names used for subspecies, and then interchanged. Local literature is both scant and not up-to-date. I wish I knew better, but I quit the STEM life for a reason haha!

We’ve all heard about the double meanings, now consider this form that means “to be loved” in Bahasa Indonesia, and can be a contraction of “hindi sayang” – roughly translated as “not a waste” in Tagalog. 😭💞
