BIO:
Born to a teenage mother, she was adopted at the tender age of three weeks by an older couple whose children were all leaving the nest. Though she had siblings, due to the large age gap she almost felt like an only child at times. Her parents were rather traditional, encouraging Summer to pursue more feminine activities. Instead of soccer like she wanted, her parents enrolled her in dance. Instead of science olympiad, they told her to do the school play. Summer always felt guilty complaining due to the fact that her parents gave her so much - a new car, the latest technology and brand name clothes - but they never let her go after her desires.Â
Summer’s first love was science. She excelled in all her science classes, ranging from biology to organic chemistry - but it was geology that truly held Summer’s heart. When she enrolled at her father’s alma mater, she started out as a teaching major. Being a teacher was a respectable profession for a woman, one that would still allow her to have a family according to her parents. But soon Summer switched majors and is studying geology in the hopes of becoming a palaeontologist. In her free time, Summer volunteers at the local museum of natural history. She loves doing hands-on activities with the local kids and teaching them about science. Summer is also a teaching assistant within her major and a mentor for her university's club for women in STEM.Â
Summer’s second love was beautiful women. For so long she had to hold in who she was, but now she feels free to be herself.
