Lego really said : hey you see this guy? All he wants is to make masks and hang out with his friends. He's an introvert that has so much social anxiety and self doubt that it's almost painful to watch

We're gonna make him the leader of a superhero team in which if he makes any wrong decision, thousands will die in droves :) closest he gets to any guidance is visions that he's convinced are hallucinations and that he's going crazy

#bionicles #vakama #LISTEN #L I S T E N #overall Vakama was a good choice #because he really cared about people and was the most driven to do right by everyone and was really humble instead of arrogant #but they REALLY did not set him up for success poor dude #they gave him so much trauma that he eventually uno reverse carded his anxiety into #no more fucks to give #he almost destroyed the fabric of time one time intentionally because he was so tired of the bad guy's shit #and the bad guy legit backed off #he was like #wow this guy is so mentally unwell I'm gonna leave him alone #and then Vakama had to lead a brainwashed population after sacrificing all of his power because he's not allowed to retire #he's come such a long way from being such a little dude #just trying to make his hero proud of him #to a fullblown leader that gives no shits and fiercely protects and takes care of his people #genuinely what sorta kills me about him and his team tho #is that unlike other toa hero groups we get to follow in the bionicle narrative #everything they did basically only they and a select few allies know about #everyone they did it for and were trying to protect were in a coma #they have no idea how much Vakama and his team cared about them and how much they sacrificed for them #also Vakama's social anxiety turned into trust issues so he also doesnt really talk about it because he doesnt trust anyone except his team #which is hilarious considering he's also the only one who turned to the darkside for an entire story arc #granted it was with the intent of protecting his people #but still #sorry to anyone who didn't follow me for bionicles im going through old childhood stuff and RELIVING THAT ERA
