This is ten seconds on our (segmented) binary clock. It's arranged just like a regular digital clock (00h:00m:00s) so if you watch the rightmost column you'll be able to figure out what 0‐9 look like and maybe figure out the rest.
The rows, of course, increase by powers of two, so the bottom row, when lit, indicates 1, the next up indicates 2, the next 4, the top 8. 7, for example, needs the three bottom rows (1+2+4). Technically the highest number you could display in a column of four rows is 15 (1+2+4+8), but ofc its programming only allows for 0-9 (in the ones place—it's 0-5 in the tens except for the hours)
One thing that bugs me is that it clearly can be set to 24 hr time but I can't figure out how to do it, so that 2 in the very first column never lights.
Anyway if you're tired of trying to figure it out, it reads 10:20:50 though 10:21:00. I probably could have done this not in the dark but who knows what I was thinking at the time. Still, it demonstrates the concept well enough.
