lmfao remember when ppl would get mad at people for using southern slang or. for having accents. yes, slang gets misused, people disrespectfully put on an accent they don't have; i like to refer to it as the gentrification of language. but, in reality, when you live in a community, you inherit some traits. i don't talk like a normal perosn. i have my own personal vernacular. some ah' dat is goin on bout waho and . man. you can't have shit in atlandah,. some people police the word "ain't"

ain't is probably the most common southern slang, second to y'all. also, ain't doesn't only exist in the south.

the distinction comes more from how its used. words can be used different ways. one of the main reasons language has become so gentrified is because of social media. i ain't gyatta to explain that to y'all. normies pick up vernacular as a trend, and don't get the point. FUCK NORMIES.

AAVE is very prevalent in the south. but also, it's a specific dialect. AAVE in ATL is different from NYC, philly, cleveland, etc. black people doon't only live in the south !?! why are we (not you guys, just complaining about the past) getting mad at southerners for picking up the language they're surrounded by? it is VERY easy to tell a real southerner from a carpetbagger when you are southerner. lol, its always people who aren't in the community policing how we talk?

i bring up jive, because its the language of jazz, the harlem renaissance. jazz started as black music. but, the point of language is to share. the point of art is to bring people togehther. yea, im juz some white pronoun, but, i would be a hepcat , as, they had the best weed. and, i like jazz. but, i'd just be a really weird cat.
