The binallay arrived earlier than expected! This glutinous rice cake is a staple in our household every Holy Week as it's supposed to serve as a meal replacement for those who are abstaining from meat during the final week of Lent. For our young-ish generation, we have it either as merienda or dessert (!). It comes with syrup made from panocha, coconut milk, and solid coconut curds (latik).
