I’ve worked for the public sector for the last five years, and I was fortunate enough to join just as the last pay freeze ended, but a lot of my colleagues weren’t so fortunate and I have heard how some of them struggled as inflation rose but their pay stayed the same. It’s heartbreaking to know that they will be facing the same struggle again.

And just to rub extra salt in the wound, MPs look to be awarded a pay rise? How is that fair? How is that right? How can they look us in the face and tell us this pay freeze is necessary and then turn round and accept a pay rise of their own?

Early morning fuel

It’s a 3.30am start for me on this Thursday morning, first coffee sat at home. Next walk the dog grab my lunch bag and away. Contents of lunch bag
