Just Paradise following in the honored tradition of making us fall in love with a character in the span of an episode and then killing him by the end of it

Just watched both seasons of Paradise in a day and have come away truly believing the only way to survive any sort of conflict is to all just be queer for one another. Which they don't do, but it's almost there. Almost. They're so close.

Days later, it still disturbs me that Cal wrote about the control panel, found out what happened to the explorers, and wrote Atlanta's coordinates on his last day, he found out what happened and his first instinct as soon as he found out was that he had to tell people the truth (he was decent 😞) So why didn't he try to tell Xavier about it when he asked for forgiveness. As soon as Xavier told him about how he can't sleep (can't get over the fact those were the last words Cal heard) he could have told him about the audios and Xavier would have stayed, at least if only to argue but would've stayed for a few more minutes. The door closed at 10:04 & Trent entered the house at 11:00 he could have said something just to get him to stay a little longer. I know his shift was over and didn't even want to be with him more than necessary and Billy's shift was just starting, and he obviously didn't trust him after finding out what he did but he could have told Xavier something about Billy being sniper and X would've asked. There were a few minutes left until Trent showed up 😭😭
