i know you're not supposed to say it, but it remains a fact that the most out of character fanon based fics are always the ones with the most notes and comments. i've never understood how this pattern came to be but definitely don't tell me it's not a pattern. this doesn't mean the fic isn't written well; it usually is, but it's also just as usually not. so strange. my theory is that low hanging fruit is all people have time and attention for, and mediocrity is never not popular.

this whole "brunette men going blond and it working for them fabulously and far better than their original brunette" thing must be studied
