                 —  —  what  drew  you  to  li’l  ol’  franklin  ?   /   accepting.

He’s running at the mouth. A complete and utter disaster. “What if I told you I love you, Paviche? What would you do? Run away? Leave me like this? God, please don’t leave me like this—it’d take forever for me to get out of these alone.” God, he needs to shut up! He needs to be quiet! Why is it that he can’t stop talking? 

“ literally why ? “ 

All it took was a few beckoning , teasing curl’s of JD’s skeletal - esque finger for Tate to drop his rucksack and take a running start for the other teenager ; He slammed into him a little harder than he’d meant to , knocking them both a few awkward steps back but that didn’t make him let go . With arms wrapped tightly around his shoulders , Tate only pulled back enough inches so he could look at him , his dark , dark eyes filled with nothing but and admiration .  “ You — Needed me , or something ??”  He drew in a bit closer , having to lift himself in the fronts of his feet , but he didn’t mind ; Only a few inches were between them now , and that’s definitely how Tate preferred it .  

JD’s demand had done quite the opposite to Tate ; He had been interrupted and scolded for his typical speaking tone , one a bit quieter side , one that made people have to lean towards him to hear what he was saying . The teen’s lips parted , but this time not a sound came out before he clammed up completely and his eyes turned down with what could only be described as shame . 

“ I hate like ... almost everything .”  Tate assumed he got his low tolerance for anything stupid and pointless from his mother , but who really knew .  “ But yeah . You’d be guessing right . But ma thinks it’s good for me to do something social .”  The track team was definitely the least social of school sports he had to choose from , but there was still a team , there were biweekly meetings and training after classes every Monday and Thursday , then alternating Saturdays .  “ I told her I’d do band , or something . I like music . But she wanted it to be physical .”

“ Had it not been for the laws of this land , I would have slaughtered you .”
