"This is the song we are going to dance to on our wedding day."
I have spent the better half of three years being haunted by a memory. A memory that encompassed everything I was and everything I hoped to be. The memory held promises I wished every day would be fulfilled. But I was praying for rain in the middle of the desert, when all I needed to do was open my canteen. I will hold that haunting memory in my heart for the rest of my life. Not for what it gave me in the moment, two fools in love dancing their hearts out. But the lesson it taught me. All you need in this life is to be your truest self. And whenever you're in doubt. Just dance it out. Free yourself from the world. Let your hair down and dance. With your friends, with your lover, in a crowd, by yourself. Let the music into your soul. Play a song on repeat, because it speaks to you, because you want to, because you can. And your whole world will be better for it.
