Things between them could have ended dangerously should Shanice have tried to end their friendship, given the Shroud family is immensely powerful- a bit too much power for one family, actually- but the main reason she's still friends with him while disagreeing with his actions ( kidnapping isn't cool, even if she makes jokes about it ) is that she knows it'll be worse if he didn't have someone like her and Ortho watching over him. Though, given the power his family has and how often his goals have been repeated, she's beginning to believe him and his goals are right.

She still defends him and his actions, despite knowing they're wrong to those he took, and he's well aware of it, often sending her in to check on them- just to hear that he's in the right via the cameras because he too is struggling with the way his actions are effecting people. He knows she doesn't believe it, but it's nice to hear- and he hopes if he hears it enough, he'll be convinced that she's too stupidly loyal to discard their friendship even if he is in the wrong. He knows she might, though, so this doesn't work too well.

Him calling her a demon is now seen as rather questionable by people- if she's a demon when she wasn't all too involved in this incident- what did she do? They both know the answer to that but they both refuse that information, after all- he never claimed he wasn't one too.
