First up on our trip, we’re gonna see Hawkodile and Dr. Fox. Paired together, we call them Foxodile, or Hawkofox. I figured it seemed right to kick things off with my very first Unikitty ship, which I still ship with my whole heart to this day.

Out of the three possible prompts on the list, I went with Danger in the Kingdom. After all, danger is what not just Hawkodile, but the both of them live for! He’s all about action, stunts, battling and looking cool through it all. She can make the unbelievable happen with the power of wild science at her fingertips. And when their daredevil natures are put together, there’s nothing they can’t do.

On we go into Day Three! Again, don’t worry if you couldn’t submit an entry for Foxodile and Frock on those days. You don’t need to be perfectly on time. You can post them anytime you’re ready to!

Now, this is where we start to delve into the fanon of Big Bright World. This is an OC x Canon pairing that deals with the excitement and newness of young teenage love, as Unikitty is getting older in this AU. It’s the ship between Unikitty and Mabel, or as I call them, Unimabel.

The prompt I decided on doing was A Perfect Sunny Day. The beach is a great place to spend such a day, especially with your special someone. The, quote-unquote, “perfect spot” in particular might have been claimed for the crabs, but that isn’t going to stop these two. They just need to keep away from where the crabs decided to sit.

We’re moving into Day Two! If you wanted to participate in this event, but you couldn’t do Day One for any reason, no worries! You can post it whenever you’re ready. If you didn’t want to do Day One, that’s okay, too!

The next pairing on our list is the one between Master Frown and Brock. Shipped together, we call them Frock. It’s very much a thing in the canon show, and it’s very much a thing in Big Bright World as well. This day’s gonna be fun- I can feel it!

As you can probably tell, I something with the prompt Our Childhood Memories. That one’s on the list because it’s confirmed that these two dudes have known each other since they were kids. This, in particular, is my interpretation of when Brock and Master Frown, or just Frown as he is here, first met, during their days at Grimace Elementary School. They grew up together, and they remained close, even if they got assigned to different high schools.

Since I have five big ships going on in my AU, I thought it would be a fun idea to dedicate a week-long event to them. This, folks, is Big Bright Ship Week.

If you guys would like to participate, but you need more time to prepare, I can move this event to November 13-19.

Foxodile and Frock are canon ships, Unimabel is an OC x Canon ship, and Spicella and Treymogen are OC x OC ships.

You don’t have to be a longtime follower of Big Bright World, or have my OCs’ entire lore memorized to participate. You can use their fake wiki pages as references:

You also don’t have to do all three of the prompts I listed for each ship. Those prompts are just to help give you inspiration; they’re possible ideas that you can do. You don’t even need to do any of those- you can come up with your own ideas.

The last two days are both free spaces. On those days, you can do anything else you want with the five ships listed above, or you can draw any of your other Unikitty ships (like Eaglecreeper, for instance). Or, you can show me which of the other characters in Big Bright World you ship, if anyone. I’d love to see your headcanons for them!

You can submit anything you’d like. If you’re drawing something, you can use whatever style you’d like, whether it’s the show’s style or your own.

There are, of course, a couple of don’t’s…

No NSFW. That won’t go over well.

No pedophilia, incest, or ships with large age gaps.

No ships that glorify or romanticize abuse or non-con.

No shipping Swanna, Celina (Spike’s mom) or Pepper with anyone. Swanna and Celina are both aspec, and Pepper wants to stay single.

Today is our second free space! Just like yesterday, it’s a day to take us wherever you’d like to. You can show me which of the other OCs from the Big Bright World AU you ship, you can do something with your other ships from the show, or you can do more with the previous five ships we’ve done! Just try to keep things Big Bright World and canon related, and be mindful of everyone’s orientations.

Here are my final surprises for you guys! If anyone here has seen Howl’s Moving Castle, then we’ve got Imogen and Trey floating in the air the way Howl and Sophie did. I also decided to shine some light on the relationships of Big Bright World’s background characters. Phil and Marmotter, aka Armot, are a queerplatonic pair of guys who live in Swan Lake, and they’re sitting together and enjoying tea. In that last one, there’s some sweetness between Dave Seaweed and Marlibut, some citizens of Marevi.

I can’t wait to see what you’ve got today! If you had anything planned for any of the previous days, but you couldn’t do it, you can still post your entries even after today is over! You don’t need to stop just because the week is done. As I’ve said before, I’ll take any late entries!

Today is our first free space, so go ahead and steer the ship wherever you’d like! We can do more with the five ships we saw this week, or do something with our other canon ships- you know, the ones that involve characters from the show. We can also do ships involving other OCs seen in the Big Bright World AU! Is there anybody else you ship in BBW? Go on ahead and show me!

Personally, I decided to do more Unimabel stuff, and there aren’t any big digital drawings this time! I also decided to do the Prom Night prompt, and I chose to sprinkle in a reference to The Prom. I actually saw that show way back in March, right before my birthday! I also wanted to do something sweet with the Visual and Performing Arts prompt. We’ve seen Unikitty’s little doodles in the show, so she’s got one to let Mabel know how great she is on the marching field!

This is another OC x OC ship, and another ship that centers around the young love of teenagers. We’ve got Imogen and Trey, and when I put them together, I call them Treymogen.

Because Trey loves to collect things, in particular shiny things, and Imogen is clever and perceptive, I went with the Scavenger Hunt prompt. But, they aren’t searching for diamonds or hidden treasures. Trey came over from Charm Valley to do a pretty simple scavenger hunt for household objects with Imogen. The goal is to collect two of each thing for each of them to keep in their rooms. Right now, they’re searching for bathtub toys. I think this hunt was organized by their families.

Man, our trip is going by so fast. Here we are at Day Four!

We’ve now reached the days centered around the OC x OC pairings seen in the Big Bright World AU. Today, we’re diving down into Marevi to see Spike and Marcella, or Butterpearl, as she’s colloquially known. Their ship is what I like to call Spicella, or Butterspike.

How many more times can I draw Spike performing someplace while Marcella looks on? But yeah- I did the Singing on Stage prompt, because Spike loves to sing for Marcie. She’s sitting at a front-row table at The Painted Shoal, a dinner theater, nightclub-type restaurant that Spike and his theater friends like to perform at. Marcella’s made time to see him after a long, fun day of adventuring, and she’s imagining them dancing together. I took influence from Sway, the latest addition to my Spicella playlist. Marevian dancing heavily emphasizes the arms.
