Final video 1 for the pitch Presentator: Biarne Filming: Maela Editing: Maela
17-01-’17
Today Biarne and I went outside to interview people for our end product. We did it the way as we agreed in previous meeting:
- Ask people if they know that they probably have a lottery ticket in their wallet - Film their reactions
This went surprisingly good. It wasn’t a hard question to answer and people were surprised en enthusiastic when we explained about the Banknote Bingo show. Biarne asked people the question and explained the concept and I filmed everything. I’m working on the video but here is already a little sneak peak.
Meeting + feedback 11-1-17
Today we showed our concept to Fraser and Bob and we prepared questions for them.
The feedback we’ve got from Fraser: He liked the way we combined the pitch and video’s but he is missing something at the start to get the attention from the client. The client must be curious about what Fraser is going to tell. We need to show the unique selling points from the show.
The banknotes in your wallet. What about them. Tell that audience they can win 10.000 a day. Then: show how many people does have banknotes and for the people who doesn’t have any. Show where they can get banknotes.
In the first 30 seconds he wants to get the client smiled that he understands the concept.
The question: “Why is this different from the other shows?” needs to be answered.
So, we were missing a first hook in the pitch that’s creating curiosity. We started to reorganize the frame of the pitch we already made and created a new way of pitching.
First Fraiser is going to introduce himself and the presentation. After he shows a video that arouse curiosity. In the video we are asking people: “Do you know you probably have a lottery ticket on you right now?” We show the reactions of the audience.
Then the video stops and Fraser starts to explain the way people can win money with their serial numbers on their banknotes. After the explanation from Fraser, he shows a new video with the reaction from people who now understand how to win money. After that he shows an animation of statics from how many banknotes there are and how many ATM there are in Utrecht. After all this there is time for questions. We asked for Bob’s feedback on the new pitch. He liked it better than the last one and that is it more clear to him. Bob said that we need to think about the layout from the video and the background, how we are going to film these people and on what location. Biarne and Maela are going to film the people. Lilian is working on visuals for the pitch and Ebba is making the lay out for the end report.
Meeting 10-01
Today we walked over everything that we did in de last weeks and what we want to present to Fraser on 11-01.
We discussed how the pitch of Fraser should look like. The video we made was scripted, but we will make a ‘real’ one for the final presentation. The feedback that we have received on the video is good. Depending on the feedback of Fraser we will continue making a better professional video.
Also we discussed what kind of research we still need to perform and what elements the video needs to contain.
The conclusion of today is that our concept of ‘participating is easy’ is translated into an entire pitch. The video will continue through the whole pitch. This way you don’t have a video pitch part and a talking pitch part, you just have one complete pitch.
We will upload our sketches of how the pitch of Fraser should look like.

Test video ‘find a banknote’.
The concept (12-12)
The concept: Show how easy it is to participate in the show for the people at home (/to become a miljonair)
Make a video of people on the street asking them if they want to win money and show them how easy it is because you only need to take up a banknote from your wallet or go to an ATM (free lottery tickets!) and take out some money.
Show someone studying for ‘who wants to be a millionaire’ versus someone sitting in his coach watching BNB and becoming rich by just sitting there and being lazy.
For next week: Decide on a phrase or a word that describes our concept Make storyboard of what should happen in the video that Fraser is going to present.
The video is a: Testimonial strategy Where somebody gives a testimony; use of someone from the targetgroup who talks to the targetgroup.
3th meeting - enrich ideas
3th meeting
What did we do today:
☑ Brainstormed ☑ Made 10 concepts
Today we sat together and discussed what we could do to come up with 10 concepts for tommorrow. We already had some kind of rough ideas but we wanted to make them more specific.
We started by choosing a concept. For example: 'play the game'. After that we choose random numbers for the "200 different ways to enrich ideas". Examples from ways to enrich: modernize it, winterize it, make it into a collectors items, combine music, pictures and words.
We came up with a lot of ideas and try to make them more specific. In the end we had 10 concepts:
- Discount if responding within x amount of time. (discount for buying the show) - Rewarding them for listening - Unveiling banknotes: there inside something. - Show examples from people who could win the price: person with a purple sweater and in the end show a person with a banknote. - The client has to find as many banknotes as they can. After that they can play the game with Fraiser. - BNB in a video (we are acting like we’re in the show) - Priming all over their lives and then they have to come up with number during this meeting. - Making a tune for the show (interaction) - Magic show - Using VR to let the client experience the show
One conclusion from today: it’s not smart to let the client play another game (a way of present) than the Banknote Bingo show. It could be confusing and may create the wrong expectations.
Tomorrow we want to choose at least 5 of those concepts and make them more specific. But first we will wait what Bob thinks of this ideas and take this feedback with us.
