Well...
The Bergman Faces of Death Competition is over.
There were only two entries which surprised me (and disappointed me a bit to be honest) considering there seemed to be some interest in the form of likes and reblogs.
Anyway only one person got all the questions right so no need to draw names out of a teapot etc. The winner has been notified. I'll put the answers up soon in case anyone is interested.

so very excited for the bergman festival competition! i'm watching my favorite bergman (fanny och alexander) in preparation. do you have a favorite bergman film?
I really love Fanny and Alexander too and will often say itâs my favorite if pressed. I love it because it encapsulates so many of his themes from his film career while also having these strong autobiographical tinges. I also like the way it features so many of the people he had worked with (when making it he thought it would be his last film). I sometimes think itâs a shame Liv Ullmann and Max von Sydow werenât in it, but then it wouldnât be the same without Ewa Fröling and Jan Malmsjö!
But anyway, I sometimes think Fanny and Alexander is a bit of an âeasyâ answer because I really struggle to pick favorites!
I really love The Face / The Magician, which I donât think is considered a âgreatâ Bergman by a lot of people, but itâs so full of humor and horror. I was thinking after watching it recently how if I had to choose between that film and Persona to only be able to see either one or the other from now on Iâd choose The Face. I love Persona and I think itâs a great achievement and a more âimportantâ film than The Face, but I still think Iâd choose that way.
Iâve got a lot of love for 40s / 50s BergmanâŠ
