The moment Jiwoong walks through the door and sees you curled up on the couch, wrapped in a blanket like a burrito, he knows something is wrong. Your face is scrunched up in discomfort, one hand resting on your stomach while the other half-heartedly scrolls through your phone.

“Baby,” he calls gently, setting down his bag before kneeling beside you. “What’s wrong?”

You let out a small whimper, shifting slightly to make space for him. “Cramps. Really bad ones.”

His heart clenches at the sight of you in pain. Without hesitation, he reaches out and tucks a stray strand of hair behind your ear. “Did you take any medicine?”

You nod. “Yeah, but it’s not working fast enough.”

Jiwoong frowns, already thinking of ways to help. “Alright, let me take care of you.”

Before you can protest, he’s already on his feet. A few minutes later, he returns with a heating pad and your favorite fuzzy socks. Carefully, he places the warm pad against your stomach, adjusting it so you feel the heat in just the right spot. Then, he kneels down and gently slips the socks onto your feet.

“Jiwoong, you don’t have to—”

He shushes you with a soft kiss to your forehead. “I want to.”

Just when you’re about to get comfortable, he suddenly stands up again. “Wait here, I’m making you something good.”

Your curiosity is piqued, but you’re too tired to question him. Instead, you listen to the distant sounds of cabinets opening, the fridge door closing, and the occasional clatter of dishes.

Twenty minutes later, Jiwoong returns with a tray filled with warm, comforting food—your favorite dish, a cup of hot tea, and even a small dessert to cheer you up.

“Eat up, baby,” he says, placing the tray in front of you. “Good food makes everything better.”

Your heart swells at the gesture. Taking a bite, you let out a satisfied hum. “Jiwoong, this is amazing.”

He grins, watching you eat with pure adoration in his eyes. “Of course. Only the best for my love.”

Once you’re full and content, he pulls you into his arms, letting you rest against his chest. His hand moves in slow, soothing circles on your back.

“Better?” he murmurs, his lips brushing against your hair.

You hum in response, closing your eyes as the pain begins to dull. The warmth of the heating pad, the delicious food, and most importantly, Jiwoong’s presence—it’s all so comforting that you feel yourself relaxing completely.

“I love you,” you mumble sleepily.

Jiwoong chuckles, pressing another kiss to your forehead. “I love you more, my baby.”
