Beyond Birthday possesses an incredibly strange sense of humor. Most people would not find it funny, and many would probably find it concerning. Around those he trusts, he enjoys making absurdly dark jokes, inappropriate observations, and comments that seem to appear from nowhere. Sometimes his humor is clever enough to earn a laugh. Other times it leaves the room completely silent—BB rarely notices the difference. To him, humor has always been a way to make uncomfortable subjects easier to discuss. Unfortunately, his version of "lightening the mood" often succeeds in doing the exact opposite.

Contrary to popular belief, Beyond is not constantly angry or unstable. Most of the time he is surprisingly quiet, relaxed, and content to be left alone. During his years at Wammy's House, his intelligence often overshadowed his behavioral issues. Because he consistently performed at an exceptional level, many caretakers overlooked things they should have addressed. When BB picked on other students or acted out, it was rarely done out of simple cruelty. More often, it was the result of emotional distress he could not properly express. Rather than asking for help, he pushed people away. Rather than admitting he was hurting, he made others uncomfortable. It became a pattern that followed him throughout much of his life.

Beyond struggles with intense paranoia that he rarely reveals to anyone. He constantly feels as though he is being watched, judged, or analyzed, because of thie he bottles up frustrations, fears, and insecurities until they become impossible to contain. Then, without warning, everything spills out at once. Whether through anger, reckless behavior, or emotional breakdowns, the pressure eventually finds a way to escape. Some of those close to him have wondered if he suffers from a mood disorder, though Beyond himself refuses to discuss such possibilities due to religious beliefs.

In my interpretation, Beyond comes from a mixed English, French, Japanese, and Scottish background. His father was English and French, while his mother was Japanese and Scottish. Though he inherited features from both sides of his family, most people tend to notice his European ancestry first. Despite this, he maintains a quiet interest in all aspects of his heritage. He enjoys researching family history and occasionally finds comfort in learning about cultures that make him feel connected to people he barely remembers.

Faith is one of the most private aspects of Beyond's life. Though few people would ever expect it, he is deeply Catholic. He rarely discusses religion, viewing it as something personal rather than performative. Whenever life becomes overwhelming, he often visits a small church near his home and spends hours sitting in silence. Only a handful of people know about this side of him. Among them are A and Love Wilde. Each visit follows the same ritual. He prays quietly, reflects on his thoughts, and leaves behind a single white rose before departing. Whether it is an act of devotion, guilt, or hope is something he never explains.

Before leaving Wammy's House, Beyond developed a style that could best be described as a mixture of punk and early emo fashion. He wore layered clothing, oversized jackets, and enough accessories to make himself stand out without actually drawing attention. He has a tongue piercing and naturally tired-looking eyes that make him appear exhausted even after a full night's sleep. Strangely, he is always cold. Even during the middle of summer, he can often be found wearing multiple layers while everyone around him complains about the heat. Friends joke that he has the body temperature of ice cream sitting in a freezer.

As a child, Beyond absolutely adored the manga and anime series Akazukin Chacha. His favorite character was always Shiine(canonically), and for several years he intentionally styled his hair after him. The resemblance was never exact, however. Beyond's hair was much thicker, messier, and significantly less cooperative. No matter how hard he tried, it always seemed to have a mind of it's own.

Beyond was undeniably beautiful when he was younger. He possessed the kind of appearance that drew attention even when he desperately wanted to be left alone. People often noticed his intelligence first and his personality second. Unfortunately, many only remembered his worst moments. His outbursts, arguments with staff, and emotional instability often overshadowed the gentler parts of who he was. Everything changed when he met Love Wilde through Angelique. For the first time, he felt truly seen by someone. Not as a genius, a successor, or a problem to be fixed, but simply as a person. Over time, that connection grew into love, and the two eventually married in the early 2000s. <3 (Beyond Birthday x Love Wilde canon!!)

Like Mello, Beyond possesses remarkable talent as a writer. His letters read less like ordinary correspondence and more like carefully crafted literature. Every sentence feels deliberate and word feels chosen like a doctor's note. Reading something written by BB can feel strangely intimidating, as though he is examining your soul. His writing style often carries a dramatic, almost gothic quality on more than one occasion, he has considered writing horror stories. Given his imagination, those stories would likely be both brilliant and deeply unsettling. However, life and his Love keeps him busy.
