My Voice
This post goes out to every single member of the LGBT+ community. This is for us so listen up! What happened in Orlando is heart retching, heart breaking, horrible, and emotion stirring. However, please do not lose hope! Take this tragic event and learn that our fight is NOT over. We've come a long way and while we have some disagreements between some of our individual groups we need to put those aside. All of us, we share #OnePulse. We deserve to be seen and heard! This is a grim reminder as to why pride started to begin with. While not everyone is visable or able to show their colors (and that's okay), this is still an important time to be visible. I #RefuseToBeInvisible. I want those that need to stay closeted and hidden, regardless of reason, to know that those of us that can be seen and heard openly are fighting even harder now so that when the time comes you can be yourself and proud. If you can be visible and are willing to admit that the fight is still going strong to spread this message to every one and #BeVisibleForThoseWhoCanNotBe. Always remember that #YouAreNeverAlone. This is my voice and I'll defend what is right and be there when times are darkest for those that need me, no matter how hard that can be.
