Healing isnβt linear πΉ & Life is nvr perfect π . . . but in each moment there is an opportunity for both. Not in the way society tells us it must be but in the way we can show up for ourselves; taking deep big belly breaths & reminding ourselves that we are perfect, always as is in any given moment β¨ Everything lined up in this way for us to be who we are rn πͺ· April was #SexualAssaultAwareness & #ChildAbusePrevention month & I wanted to address how this is more common than we as society like to admit. Iβm not here to place blame or to make anyone uncomfortable but this is a real life issue that is prevalent in most of our lives in one way or another β€οΈβπ©Ή From child molestation, to rape, to unwanted advances, & the list can go on but we are familiar with it. I myself was abused as a very young girl for several years & I truly didnβt realize until my 30s that Iβve nvr actually dealt with it. I finally told someone at 12 when I had a mental brkdown, & then again at 16 when a lot was changing in my life, did therapy, even family therapy & I thought hey thatβs it, itβs done. Iβm okay. But am I? Was I? No I wasnβt bc there was a plethora of feelings deep within that even I wasnβt aware of at first. It took me until now to finally face that; to know that it was an experience that happened to me π Sexual assault is nothing to be ashamed of , nothing to feel guilty over. It was something that was experienced. We didnβt ask for this , or do anything to warrant it. Itβs what happened & it is our responsibility to ourselves to heal from it π Whatever that means to you I truly hope you find it π & it can be very different from one to the next. I personally saw an energy healer who took me on a journey within to face it & to feel free from it. I forgive my abuser, & all that were involved around those years.
