The measuring sticks placed in our lives from society and families tend to teach us that we have to be perfect (which is a lie because you will never be perfect) which leads us to feel insecure and inadequate because we will never reach a goal that the world has set on us. Thus, the measuring stick of perfection doesn’t need to be stuck on getting everything “right”, but doing everything you could have done in that present moment to have the best possible outcome.
