DC fans know that Marvel has generally been a lot more progressive, so they feel like they have to prove something, I think.
Yeah, I think at first, for their first movies, some of their female characters weren’t really given the attention that they deserved but they listened to the criticism and made changes. Their female characters are their own characters now, they are more complex and they have their own motivations. There are still changes to be made but overall they are on a good path, one better than DC, for female representation. Movie studios learn from one another, so they will progress together and we’ll always get better representation going forward.
