Thanks so much for your feedback. I'm so sorry tumblr has gotten so weird. I'll miss you dreadfully. Please do put a post on here whenever you add things to Etsy, otherwise at least I get to enjoy your work on AO3. Thank you Beth, I appreciate that it’s a lot! If I hadn’t had a Twitter already for a decade I could definitely understand it being too much as a new platform. 

With Etsy, the best way to get updates on those is to register and favourite my shop, which I believe enables notifications on shop updates.

I will be adding some sketches to Etsy tomorrow, as it happens, 2 x stevebucky, a winterhawk and a winter & hawk <3

Rain was pelting down outside the cave. Rain was pelting down inside the cave, too. At least, Sam hoped it was rain. Thankfully no one had gotten out a flashlight to check, probably because Steve and Bucky were too busy arguing over a map.

"I told you we should have turned left!"

"You couldn't remember the name of our 1st grade teacher, Steve, hell if you remember Jackie's map."

"I spent most of that year home with the plague, pal, remember that?"

"Pretty sure we're not that old, pal, but -"

Sam tuned them out, which was surprisingly hard to do despite the thundering deluge outside and the dripping inside the cave. He vowed (again) that the next time a superhero showed up at his door asking for a quick favor, he would close the door in their face. And then move. And change his name.

The map led to some sort of Hydra base that may or may not have stopped existing years ago. The map had definitely stopped existing years ago, but Steve and Bucky had both assured him that they could recall every tree and ditch.

B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?

I suppose in some ways all of them must be, because even though I’ve never fought in WW2 or grown up in a criminal family in Appalachia, the things and people I’ve seen and the emotions I’ve experienced color the stories I write. Which, honestly, is just a way to procrastinate admitting that oblivious!Steve in my stories is very, very much me. I had all these elaborate theories about how the world worked (or how it should work, at any rate), and quite frequently missed the things happening right in front of my nose, from people who might want to date me to the “cousins” in my own family. Beyond that, the story that most closely resembles my experience growing up is a little Dean & Sam (from Supernatural) fic, “Snapshots from the Road,” not that I grew up fighting monsters, but in that my mother loved long road trips, and so much of my childhood was spent reading maps and road signs and historical markers, the lingering, lazy months of summer spent growing up in the backseat of a car.

H: How would you describe your style?

The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine, The Soul Screamers by Rachel Vincent and The Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead are all excellent YA fantasy books. The Tom Thorne books by Mark Billingham are amazing murder mysteries. The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris is fantastic as is the film. The Percy Jackson or Heroes of Olympus books by Rick Riordan are aimed at a bit younger than 18 so she might find them a bit easier though they do use a lot of words from Greek mythology.    

These are great, thank you! I was trying to think of good fantasy ones but all my YA knowledge is outdated, so these are fantastic! And if she likes war novels she very well might enjoy a good murder mystery or two, what a great idea.

As for the question ... mmmmm .... well ... 

The thing is, I’m totally okay with people shipping whatever they ship. All ships are equally seaworthy on the high seas of fandom, and I do know it’s a ship you love a lot; I hope it always gives you joy! I used to read some Steve/Bucky back in the day, after TWS first came out; there’s a lot of good fic there. :D

I mean, the tl;dr here is that it doesn’t matter what I think as far as what anyone else ships. If someone sees something there, that’s valid!

That being said, in canon and headcanon, I pretty much just see it as friendship, personally.
