My little student gave me a flower... She saw me as I came in and as I was saying hello to all of the kids with our new special "elbows bumps and kicks" when it was her time to greet me, she gave me this little lovely flower and said "A flower to you, Teacher!" I couldn't believe how much of her simple gesture would have such a powerful effect on me and bring me tears of joy. The happiest tears I've shed in a while. How sweet of her to care so much and even not being able to go for a hug, she actually made me feel hugged. We are all going through hard times these days. People around us are really dying... neighbors, acquaintances, friends, co-workers, family members and so on have been taken from us by this "terrible flu" ... some have died 😢 and some have died emotionally... BUT here's the message: Be yourself like unto this little girl. With the power to make someone else feel happy to the point of crying with the sweetest simple lovely gesture of showing you care for the ones you love.
