Dreams are infectious.  Leaving footsteps of false hope, And tainted memory. Injecting a yearning to wake up, Just to long to fall asleep again.  

I'm desperate.  For you. I'm desperate to kiss you, Lock your lips in mine, And throw away the key. I'm desperate to hug you, Feel your body against mine, And just breathe you in. I'm desperate to love you, Absorb the heat between us, And move in synchronized motions. I'm desperate to sleep next to you, Hear your breath against my ear, And share in each other's most vulnerable moments.  I'm desperate to experience you,  Learn your ways, And be there for you through everything. I'm desperate to laugh with you, Create memories together, And be each others reminder of joy in times of pain. I'm desperate to love, I'm desperate to love always, I'm desperate for you, I'm desperate for only you.

I am your light, At your darkest hour. I will be the silver lining, Giving you hope on a stormy day. 

I am a shoulder, That will gladly soak up your tears. I will be a hug, Hiding you away from everything.

I am a smile, That will always be here for you. I will be a space giver, Silently watching when you need time. I am an open mind, That wants to take some of your burdens. I will be whatever you need, Just say the word and I’m there.   I am,  And I will always be,  Your sunshine at midnight.
