>Description: Beth was the second oldest and quietest of the Wheeler children. growing up she had little friends and preferred to be at home. she had a love for classical literature and had aspirations of being a writer when she grew up. she’s always had a sense of not belonging and hoped that one day she could be a part of something big.

>upbringing: had a similar upbringing to nancy and mike grew up middle class and rarely had to go without. she was significantly quieter then her siblings and was given the nickname “little deer” by her mother.

>season 1: after the disappearance of Will Byers she grows curious and develops the feeling of something being off about it. she begins noticing things about Hawkins that she had never thought about before on top of that she begins observing a strange change in her brother Mike. after growing suspicious about this she follows him down to the basement where she learns that he’s been keeping a girl in their house for a few days now. Beth decides to help the girl hiding from the bad men and helps Mike keep her a secret from their parents where she realises that she was right and that there was something off about Wills disappearance. during the week she grows closer to El and begins to ciew her as a younger sister figure and El kind of imprints herself onto Beth as Beth was one of her first female friends and was a bit more understanding to her struggles than the boys were. Beth is left conflicted after Wills return and Els disappearance because on one hand Will is back but at the other El is gone unsure of if she’s dead or alive.

>season 2:Beth is still wrapping her head around what happened in 1983 she begins trying to piece together hawkins secrets from the little she knows about hawkins lab and the upside down.she has a lot of unanswered questions and wonders if this is all she’ll ever know. she starts to consume herself in her desire to know more and isolates herself from her family to continue her research. she overhears Mike say something about Will acting off and then begins to pay close attention to him where she notices an odd behaviour, after her suspicions are proved she wants to help him with the bit of research that she has but she somehow ends up tagging along side her older sisters ex boyfriend and her younger brothers friend group helping them through sharing her detective work.after going into the upside down with them she begins to get her answers and is desperate to find out more.

>season 3: for the first time in months things are calm there hasn’t been a paranormal threat in months now and Beth is beginning to grow restless, she misses being a detective and she misses feeling needed. she’s in an odd place she feels like she has no one to hangout with because the party are focusing on dating drama while the older kids are getting jobs she feels alone.

Beth ends up tagging along with the scoops troop and becoming friends with Robin Buckley a girl a few grades ahead of her.

>season 4: grows suspicious that the upside down may be back from the murders of a few of her class mates and tries to play detective about it until the hawkins gang realise that there’s something going on. apart of the older teen storyline this season and plays detective with Robin and Nancy.
