The National, Bobby McFerrin, Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa - 06-06-2013
The National - Trouble will Find Me - There is a lot of hype around this album and just how good it is. OK, so it's good but I'm not a The National's fan so I just don't find myself wanting to listen to it. Nothing wrong with the album it has a nice modern 80's synth sound which is so popular right now. For me I think there have been so many good quality albums with this sound I'm listening to right now, that this one is getting lost to those. Go give this a listen. Everyone else seems to love it. Bobby McFerrin - Spirityouall - Now for something completely different. You know McFerrin from his hit "Don't worry be Happy" but this collection of old and modern spirituals finds him blending his amazing vocal abilities with great music instrumentation and sweet Jazz. Esperanza Spalding even shows up to lend her voice and bass styles to the album on sereval tracks. This album is really great and overall relaxing. Go listen to this now you will probably want to get it.
Beth Hart, Joe Bonamassa - Seesaw - A nice album bringing a bit of a big band blues sound to Bonamassa's repertoire. Beth Hart has a great soulful voice and lends itself to the music very well. It's a good solid blues album that is worth the listen to if you're a blues fan like me. Yes the solos are pretty shredding as well. If you like the blues take a listen.
