I spent the first three weeks detailing 5-star reviews from 2017. I have run out (most of my reviews are 3-4 stars) so for the final 10 days of 2017, I'm delving into some of my favorite romance novels/series to date.
Title: Nine Minutes
Series: Out of Time trilogy
Genre: Contemporary - Motorcycle Club, Forbidden Romance, Dark Romance
Synopsis: On May 15, 1975, Ginny Lemon is abducted from a convenience store in Fort Lauderdale by a member of one of the most notorious and brutal motorcycle gangs in South Florida. From that moment on, her life is forever changed after she is given as a "present" to the gang leader. She gets a new name, a new identity and a new life in the midst of the gang’s base on the edge of the Florida Everglades—a frightening, rough and violent world much like the swamps themselves, where everyone has an alias and loyalty is tantamount to survival. Review: Oh my gosh, this book!!!! THIS BOOK!!! Buy it, read it...NOW, haha, okay only if you want to buy it, but I love it so much. It is a part of a trilogy but I'm not giving too many details beyond the first book. But this book, it broke my heart, major ugly cry alert. It could have easily been a standalone; it was stunningly well-written - no criticisms at all. This was her debut but you wouldn't know it. I loved this book and plan to read the accompanying spin-off.
Trigger warnings are ALL over this one - a lot happens. It is a motorcycle club and she does not sugarcoat their illegal activities and it can get very grisly, especially when Ginny is at risk. However, Grizz earned a very special place in my heart. I compare all motorcycle heroes against him and no one has surpassed him yet.

RIP IT or SHIP IT! - Valentine’s Day edition

Decision: RIP!!!!
With my final draw, I was groaning - of course, these two would be paired together. Both met their partners when they were teenagers, both waited years before claiming them, both are hard-headed, fierce, intense, and crazy Dominant - there is absolutely no way one would take a knee before the other. Grizz is a MC Club President, who has done very bad things but I think he would have immense respect for Father Soren, who is a Jesuit Priest who is rigid and strong in his beliefs. I think it would make an interesting story, but Soren would be the one left standing.
Shelf Confidence BPC: July 25 - Favorite Tropes I have a lot more Motorcycle Club books on my Kindle, but the really good ones I buy in paperback. My absolute favorite is Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn. Some of these can get a bit darker and grittier, so do your research. For Dahlia West, start with “Shooter.”
Books for Thoughts: July 14 - Needs more love I love my indie, self-published authors. I find lots of YA and Historical support on here, but not a very huge audience for contemporaries so anytime I can promote them I will. All of these are tearjerkers and all are excellent.
