The trooper looked deeply uncomfortable but thankfully, not even remotely suspicious. Hera had always been better at lying under pressure than he was. “You can’t be here,” the trooper said again, louder this time but clearly trying to sound more commanding than he could muster through the trembling in his voice. “This area is restricted. You need to return downstairs.” The kid wasn’t faring much better than himself, Kanan could tell, his face flushed and his hands fidgeting at his sides. He was young, and probably fresh out of the academy if he had to guess—and easier to deceive. Small miracles. Kanan cleared his throat. “Our apologies,” he said, doing his best to sound clueless—not that he had to try awfully hard when he could still feel Hera’s breath on his neck and the heat of her palm on the side of his jaw.

HI KYLE 🥰 yeah, maybe! i think i might have started a few of them or at least had a few ideas for some of these a long time ago, but i never got around to finishing them. however, i also feel like i have a tendency to get way off track or lose motivation when trying to limit myself to a specific format. sooo i suppose it depends. 😅

Yeah like I can’t tell you the amount of fics I’ve stumbled across for Din where he’s very ooc and feels like just a stand-in. Honestly it always feels like just poorly covered up rpf. It’s strange and gives me the icks right away. 

And I’ve noticed that trend as well! It doesn’t happen with every single person I’ve come across who exclusively writes pedro characters, but the majority I’ve come across definitely are like that. They write the characters with the same characterization and the characters feel like pedro stand-ins that are always ooc. I dunno how else to explain it than that, but its definitely a trend I noticed with his fandom, especially when I used to interact with the fandom. 

I went through like 25+ of my wips (there's like 187 in total in my wip folder rip) to find one that had this word in it and I did!

Ok so like this is a very very rough little thing I want to include somewhere in my Boba x Ann (one of my jedi ocs) fic. Its after he finds out she's a jedi and he's showing a bit of an interest in the "weird jedi things" she does. In this particular conversation she is discussing mediation with him(as she's taking it up again after many years of not practicing mediation) and how it helps her connect to the force on a deeper level.

“It allows us to reflect on things, and even helps us to heal ourselves in a way.” Ann had explained, shifting in her spot on the floor. "Not physically—I mean—but mentality. Mediation allows us to clear our mind, and helps with building a stronger connection to the force."

When I say rough. I mean rough. Like I'm probably going to edit and tweak this a lot before I include it in any chapters. Also when looking stuff about Jedi mediation up, I found out there’s actually a healing mediation technique where Jedi can repair physical injuries on themselves while mediating. I think it was only mentioned like once or twice in Legends, but Ann here is talking more of the mental aspect of mediation and how it helps with relaxing/clearing their minds. Which I always considered to be quite healing for the mind and one’s mental state.
