He never misses, Mr. Drax. Bond-A-Thon: "Moonraker" (Roger Moore, 1979). While vastly different from Ian Fleming's original novel, Moonraker supplies the viewer with the known humility of Moore's tenure as James Bond. I don't agree with the panning from the critics, but I will agree that it's not one of Moore's best. One of my favorite things about the film is the locations. Bond starts off in a midair battle to escape death by obtaining a parachute at 30,000 some odd feet, continues in London, then California, then Venice, and finally on to Rio, before Mr. Bond departs for space. It's a little outlandish, sure, but it's fun and one of the films that I used to watch obsessively on VHS when I was a kid. My mentality at that age was, James Bond is amazing! And now he goes to space, too?!? Exactly that reaction, truth be told. I was an eccentric young man! #instagram #instaview #instadaily #instagood #instalike #instafollow #blankpagesofmine #jamesbond #rogermoore #bernardlee #loismaxwell #loischiles #michaellonsdale #richardkiel #desmondllewelyn #bondjamesbond #007 #shakennotstirred #movies #bondfanatic #cinema #follow4follow #followforfollow #tumblr #twitter
