Uncle is immediately at home in this fabulous Pacific-inspired theatre of eating and drinking. The Tiki Bar is turning out tropical cocktails that have umbrellas. But we’re not here to twirl cocktail umbrellas. Dowager chose the GLC Bento Basket - made up of Ika Mata cone, sushi rice, tempura chicken wings, smoked yams and fire roasted green beans. What a delectable basket and the Dowager is well pleased. For Uncle, if it’s Friday, it must be fish (Catholic habits die hard). So no contest, Tempura Fish & Chips it is. No beer batter for the fish, just delicately light and crunchy tempura batter with shoe-string fries. The hero is the yuzu mayo. So good Uncle had to ask for another lot of this dreamy creamy.
