Alright, alright. I know the easy answer to this. I usually do loose leaf! I PROMISE I DO. But, I have been struggling with my supply lately, so I ended up with these in a pinch at the store. I don’t drink coffee or soda, so black tea is my caffeine. At the very least when I cold brew it myself (1 tea bag/quart jar overnight - OR - 2 Tbsp loose leaf/quart jar and reuse the loose leaf at least twice) I am not using a plastic cup/cover/straw from whatever store I buy it from once I get to work (usually Panera, based purely on proximity).
It’s becoming more common knowledge that most tea bags include plastic, making them ineligible for composting (Ugh), but I started wondering about this package as well. Did you put plastic in there, Benner? Don’t lie to me!
What I should do is buy a year’s worth of loose leaf black tea and get back to composting that. I just have to mobilize. Onward!
