For the fic title game: Love and Other Ways To Die
THIS IS SUCH A GREAT TITLE!!! honestly, even though i don’t really write horrance, this would make a great title for a horrance fic. like vignette style where it explores different ways that ben could’ve died at 17 (it’s a mystery! a mystery!) whether or the mission or because of the horror etc. like a bunch of ‘what if’ scenarios. and then the central theme of the whole fic would be that, more than dying, the pain of existing as a ghost tied to a brother that he’s, against his best judgement, fallen in love with. how that kind of pain is comparable to death... since ben is dead!! it would be... pretty angsty with maybe a possibility for a happy ending afterwards!!!!

BTW, it's the way Klaus slowly sighs and lowers his gaze after telling Sparrow!Ben "...it made him ridiculously easy to love" that got me.
