I just thought of something!
I just thought of a way to improve my back bend.
So I lie on my stomach on the ground, with the pole all the way up between my legs. Then I place my hands firmly on the ground and straighten my arms, arching my back. Just like the yoga move, the Cobra.
Then I will reach with my hand over my head and grab the pole. AND ARCH! Just like the figurehead (well, your legs are more parallel than the figurehead normally is).
