Locker.
Jeremy walked around the middle school looking for Michael. He had just saw Michael running from Rich and Jake, and was curious as to where they were going. Jeremy kept calling Michaels name, but never found him. He gave up and decided to walk home alone.
He walked passed some lockers and heard a pounding on one of them followed by, “HELP! SOMEBODY HELP!” Jeremy sighed as he opened the locker revealing his friend shoved into a locker. Michael fell out, gasping for air.
“Michael, what are you doing in a locker?” Jeremy asked.
“Oh you know, just chilling,” Michael laughed, “not hiding from Rich and Jake.”
“Did they shove you in there?” Jeremy asked.
“No, I hid in there,” Michael smiled sheepishly, “it worked, didn’t it?”
“Yea I guess, I don’t see them anywhere,” Jeremy shrugged.
Michael had a black eye and some little scratches on his face but nothing major. Jeremy offered to help clean him up. The two walked to Jeremys house and snuck in Jeremys room so his parents wouldn’t notice.
“Okay, whenever I fall off my bike, my mom kisses the scratches, but since yours are on your face I don’t think I kiss them..” He said.
“You can kiss them,” Michael smiled, I don’t mind. My momma does the same thing.”
“Uh okay,” Jeremy said.
He cleaned up the small marks and pressed delicate kisses to each one. He grabbed an ice pack and put it on Michaels eyes so the swelling would go down.
“Wanna play xbox?” Jeremy asked.
“Sure,” Michael said grabbing a controller.
Jeremy picked out a basic racing game so Michael wouldn’t have to put much effort into it.
“I’m gonna crush you with one eye closed,” Michael laughed.
“Michael you suck at this game,” Jeremy sneered, “you can’t beat me with both eyes open, how are you going to beat me with one eye open?”
“Look man,” Michael said, “I just, this. fuck you.”
They played for a few hours, and lost track of time. Jeremy snuck some dinner to Michael and locked his door when it was time for bed. Jeremy laid down next to Michael smiling.
“Thanks for helping me Jer,” Michael said, “you’re my bestest friend in the whole 5th grade.”
Jeremy flashed a toothy grin at Michael, “you’re my best friend too Michael.”
