Shuho Imai, the creator of Tokyo Majin and more recently Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters is working on a new Nintendo Switch rhythm game in Japan titled ‘Gal Metal’ which is in development by DMM according to this week’s issue of Famitsu. 

It features character designs by Toshinao Aoki and former-Konami producer Tak Fujii (yesss) as the executive producer. The game is described as hardcore metal with high school girls, sci-fi, and an adventure music game. We’ll be sure to bring you more news as the game will be showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2017 later in the month.

Gal Metal heads to the Nintendo Switch this February in Japan.

The 7th KONAMI Arcade Championships (KAC) was just announced on this week’s BEnama Live Stream, to everyone’s surprise:

While the omission of MUSECA was _somewhat_ expected, REFLEC BEAT is also not listed.

The official KAC Twitter followed up with this tweet, further confirming that this is not a mistake:

Nostalgia, of course, is in the line-up for this year after killing the short-lived BeatStream series.

To see two series disappear from this event is quite a shock, regardless of how much you like or don’t like either game.

Now, the speculation begins. Will these games actually die? REFLEC BEAT’s touchscreen cabinet could be easily repurposed into another new game, should Konami decide to go that route. But MUSECA might be a bit of a challenge.

It was recently announced that Deemo, which was previously released for PS Vita and smartphones, would be getting a Nintendo Switch release in Japan. The game has now launched on the eShop in Japan, and now thanks to Circle Entertainment, we know the exact date for the North American and Europe releases.

Over on their official Twitter, Circle Entertainment announced the Switch version of Deemo will release on September 28th in North America with an eventual update to include controller support as well as DLC that will be added later on. The console has been an absolute blessing with rhythm gaming right out of the gate, and still continues the genres library.

Releasing alongside the game today on PS4, Patapon iMessage stickers are now available on iOS via the App store! Hum the marches in your head while sending and decorating these lil’ guys to your friends. There are 20 stickers in total for you to share and are free to download along with the PaRappa The Rapper stickers.

The Round 1 3rd quarterly financial report was released yesterday in Japan and we have the bare bone translation on store opening estimates and current store performance list. Two new US stores are listed among the upcoming openings (Maine and New Mexico).

Ever seen your friends posting some neat BEMANI scores and wonder how they were doing it? Now you can too! This guide will help you share your scores to social media via the eAMUSEMENT app.

When you’ve signed into the app, an option will appear in most current BEMANI games other than MUSECA and Nostalgia. This option may be pressing a numpad key (IIDX/SDVX: “0”, DDR/popn: “1”) or tapping a Play Share “プレーシェア投稿” button on the REFLEC BEAT results screen. Doing this will save a screenshot to your account (in the App) for 24 hours only.

For jubeat (smartphone only, coming soon) and GITADORA, you will need to visit the game’s website, browse your play history, and choose which score you’d like to upload. jubeat stores 10 past scores, or 30 if you subscribe to the Basic Course, while GITADORA’s website seems to store an unlimited amount of song history!

But before all this, the first thing you’ll need to do is register your eAMUSEMENT Pass and linkit to a Japanese KONAMI ID. We help walk you through that here! If you’re not in Japan, creating a Japanese Google account or iTunes account is also needed to download the app itself. The latest version is only available on iOS 9 or higher and Android 4.2 or higher.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to save your screenshots to your device other than taking a screenshot of the screenshot, in the app, manually. Let’s dive right in:

  After signing into the eAMUSEMENT app, you’ll be greeted with the homepage

Tap the pink (Compose) button in the bottom-right to start writing a post

Tap the (Camera) button up top to choose an image from various sources

Next, touch the “プレーシェア” (Play Share) icon to choose your in-game screenshot Note: This option will be grayed out not allowing access if you do not have your KONAMI ID linked with the eAMUSEMENT app.

The other 3 options are “アルバム” (Phone’s Gallery) “写真撮影” (Camera) and “フォトフレーム” (Photo Frames)

Your saved images will be listed in order with the most recent on the left. Posted ones will be grayed-out. Tap on the image you want to share.

After choosing the image, tap the pink “決定” (Decide) button at the bottom to confirm. For now, you can only post one screenshot at a time.

  At the top of each post, you’ll see various icons. In order, they are: Screenshot, Game (auto-selected, but changeable), Poll, Play Location, Twitter, and Facebook

The social media options require you to authenticate using those accounts. On some devices, or if you’re not using the official apps for each, you might have trouble with this. Try to re-authenticate and make sure the icons are both blue. (White means not sharing)

Polls only show up in the eAMUSEMENT App, but they’re still fun to use! (The last option is to make votes anonymous)

You can also choose the arcade where you got the score, from your recent locations.

Type your status, throw in some hashtags, make sure your options are set, then tap the pink “投稿” (Post) button to finally post! You’ll be taken to the game’s feed.

Today, Arc System Works announced that they will be publishing DJMAX RESPET in Japan and have set the release date for November 9 in the region.

Standard edition will cost 5,184 yen, 4,800 yen for the digital-only version, and 7,344 yen for the limited edition, which includes a crisp outer box, art book, and double disk original soundtrack.

You can pre-order the Japanese standard edition now via Play-Asia while the Limited Editions are currently sold out.

As the hype train continues to roll for Taiko no Tatsujin: Session de Dodon ga Don, Bandai Namco has released the Asia region trailer for the game with English subtitles and will receive full English localization. The Asia bundle will soon be available for preorder, but until then, check out the trailer below!

The Japanese version will be out on October 26, which the Asia region can expect it shortly after with no exact date currently. There is no word yet form Bandai Namco on a North America or Euro release.
