'Beemer' (or 'Beamer'). Slang for a BMW motorcycle.
Wait, what?
Yes, that's right. As auto enthusiasts will point out, the term 'Beemer' or 'Beamer' refers to a BMW motorcycle, whereas 'Bimmer' refers to a BMW car. A more detailed breakdown, plus a little etymology by a 'very highly placed BMW spokesperson' can be found here.
This is all strictly speaking, of course, and the truth is not all that many people will care for the distinction. What they're more likely to care for, however, is the dignity of the poor BMW whose connotations of luxury, prestige and elegance have been cruelly reversed by a single word of self-referential slang.
