Honestly, I hate reading fanfictions with Lip and Fiona being cruel to Mickey, because I don’t find it very canon to them ( I mean yeah they’re not always his biggest fan but they have moments and Fiona even seems to really like him in season 5). However, there are SO many fics that use this idea so every now and then I forgive one because it’s really well done. This is one of them. Lip starts off as a jerk but eventually seems to warm up to his brother’s boyfriend after watching how in love Mickey is.

This beautifully written heart breaking fanfiction is a masterpiece. The author uses such beautiful poetic language to tell the canon story of Mickey and Ian. It diverts a smidge from canon at the end, as it was written before season 5.
