mary/lucinda-

i hc them as both halfbloods, who sit together on the train, along with hestia and emma vanity, on the very first day, and end up forming a really close bond from it! i think they would really rely on eachother, especially later on during the wizarding war and the death eaters in hogwarts, but would later develop a rift due to lucinda working independently against the DE and mary not taking part in the rebellion.

theyre super nerdy!! them, lily, remus, and regulus would absolutely have a study group, but they would be the type of people who cant focus on their work if theyre not talking, so it would take reg+rem quite a long time to warm up to them.

mary makes super detailed, clear notes, with picture perfect diagrams, and lucinda is super good at summarising them, creating practice questions, and creating mindmaps- reg secretly loves lucindas mindmaps bcs he thinks theyre the superior way to study, but until solid sixth year he would never tell her that

GOSSIPS. following on from the 'talk while they study' they also got super close bcs they love to gossip! with them being in different houses, but both having a house-diverse fg, they would TOTALLY have absolutely all the gossip, and that would be what really gets them close to rem + reg! mary and lucinda would have their own sleepovers in lucindas prefect room after she becomes one, but until then they definitely found and abused the room of req

would stay up all night talking through mirrors, or would find a way to charm pieces of paper to communicate with each other!

help each other understand bits about pupreblood/muggle culture- lucinda grew up in a pureblood family, being the child of an affair with a muggle, and while mary was close with her mums family, her mum died in childbirth- so they would help each other understand the respective cultures!
