I listened to this again a couple days ago, and boy do I have thoughts! lol

Orpheus having ANy lines. Wasn’t it nice when Orpheus had lines???

Nabiya’s lower notes when she sings “I don’t want to go back to the lonely life.” her shuddering breath right before “Say that you’ll hold me forever. Say that the wind won’t change on us. Say that we’ll stay with each other, and it will always be like this.”

The fact that Orpheus’ ONE line in “All I’ve ever know” is directed at Eurydice, full of confidence and hope. Also, his notes being the only “high” notes in the song. It really emphasizes how he is the light in her dark world.

Hermes’ whistle actually SOUNDS like a train whistle. I didn’t realize how much I appreciate that.

The gentle way Chris Sullivan says “When she fell she fell in spite of herself, in love with Orpheus.”

[Eurydice] Why should I become your wife? [Orpheus] Because I make you feel alive.

👏  Orpheus talks directly to Eurydice in ”Come Home With Me” 👏 

I love that Hermes doesn’t interrupt or speak for Orpheus in this version. Orpheus is allowed to approach Eurydice in his own way. And he’s confident enough to do it without help. He seems much more secure then Reeve!Orpheus. (BTW I’m not trying to hate on Reeve, I know he worked hard, I just think Damn!Orpheus and Reeve!Orpheus are very different. And I prefer Damon.)

“The lovers took each other by the hand, and danced underneath the sky!” (very similar to “the lovers to each other by the hand and brother you know what they did? they danced.” I’m a sucker for a good paralell.)

“Living it up on Top” feels more like spring and less like the last breath of august.

 “Who says times are hard” VS “Let’s not talk about hard times”

Persephone is a little more .... vulnerable? She also seems to be truly joyful. In BDWY its more  like she’s forcing the cheer, but in NYTW it’s authentic. But MAYBE THAT’S JUST ME THINKING TOO MUCH.

In “Living it up on Top,” 👏 Orpheus. 👏 Has. 👏 Lines.  

“Give me the sky that you can’t buy or sell at any price!” (I did this one before but I LOVE all the Orpheus’ lines in Living it Up and I’m upset they were taken from him on BDWY)

Orpheus sings his first song (Epic I) and Persephone APPEARS on stage. He sings about her and she enters as he’s finishing his song. It’s so pretty!!!

[Eurydice] “That’s good” [Orpheus] “It isn’t finished” 💞CUE BIG DANG KISS💞

Orpheus and Eurydice get introduced in “The Road to Hell” at the SAME TIME, with Orpheus on his knees, his heart in Eurydice’s hands. IT’S SO SYMBOLIC AND SAD AND FORESHADOWS WHAT IS TO COME, AND I LOVE IT.

Ever since I was little, I remember watching tv and always wanting to be on the screen in a way. But growing up, I went through A LOT, and because of that I've become super duper self-conscious. I have like zero self esteem and I've never even TRIED acting because I've always been told I didn't look the part blah blah blah.

Anyway! I bring this up because a part of me still really REALLY wants to try but I also feel like doing so means I wouldn't be able to contribute in any meaningful way to society which is ALSO something I've always dreamed of doing. Even before these acting dreams I always wanted to make sure whatever I did helped people or society or the planet. But I don't think trying to pursue acting would do that (that's even if I COULD do it because like I said, zero experience).

But anyway, I'm like 25 now, still trying to figure out what the HELL I wanna do with my life and I'm freaking out. Like part of me wants to try acting, part of me wants to pursue the baking career I've always wanted, another part of me wants to get into environmental science and biology to better the world and its just so hard and overwhelming to figure out what the FRICK, I want to do and yeah...

I just wanted to let all these banana thoughts out that have been festering in my head because it's been 7 years since HS and I keep seeing people get careers and families and I'm here, still never been in a relationship barely going to community college and working a dead end job.

Okay well if anybody reads this, lemme know if you got any advice! Or just like tell me if you feel the same! Also thanks for reading and kinda listening to me rant.

The amount of times I’ve received NSFW requests there, as a MINOR, is unacceptable, and the amount of times I’ve had people call my characters “slut,” “bitch,” and “whore,” is appalling. These comments are NOT EXCLUSIVE TO WATTPAD, but they’re where I’ve received them. This doesn’t make a content creator feel good about their work. Why would you hate on something someone worked so hard on?

One of my biggest gripes with Wattpad is the sheer amount of silent readers. You’ll watch your story get added to the reading lists of countless people that have never once shown appreciation for your work, or you’ll come across a reader that says they love your stuff (which is great!) but they never vote or comment. It’s understandable to be shy about commenting or voting, but it does come to a point where content creators feel like they’re seen as machines meant to pump out content for people that feel entitled to it.

Another problem I have with Wattpad is it’s descent into ads. It’s near impossible to enjoy a story there anymore because every other chapter you’re faced with an ad. I do not have a problem with paid stories; content creators deserve monetary recognition for their work if they so choose.
