Grape, pomegranate, tangelo, kiwi, and cranberry :)
Grape: if you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
New Zealand, I think. I would say Europe, but I feel like that’s something I’ll probably do in a few years. New Zealand is less likely to happen soon and, therefore, it’s where I’d really like to go the most. (Ask me again in a few weeks and it’ll be a different answer.)
Pomegranate: when do you feel the most confident?
Probably when I know what I’m doing and what’s happening. I’m pretty confident at work, but I’ve been doing it for 3 years and I could run all 3 departments in my sleep. Most of the time I end up psyching myself out over new situations or scenarios because I’m a thinker, so I’m usually very confident when I know what’s going to happen and what my place is in those events.
Tangelo: if you could be any mythical creature, which would you be?
Um…if I say demon will people judge me? The lore that surrounds them in every culture is just fantastic and terrifying. And, honestly, I’d want to be a creature that could wreak havoc, burn everything to the ground, corrupt the fools in power, topple regimes, and give those who would listen to me the courage to go down their own path. I’d want to be feared. I’d want men quaking at the sound of my voice and the outcasts rejoicing.
Kiwi: what’s something that fascinates you?
The process of making alcohol, all alcohol. Wine, especially. There are thousands of different grape varietals and blends. Each will taste differently depending on where the grapes are grown, the weather of the growing season, when the grape was harvested, how it was fermented, how it was aged, how it was bottled, and how you aerate it. This is mostly true for liquors and beers as well. There’s just so much variation and so many factors!
Cranberry: favorite time of the day; morning, afternoon, dusk, or night?
Dusk. I am 100% a night owl, but I love those moments just before dark. The light is still fading and the air is slowly cooling. Everything seems to slow down just a little bit, like it’s trying to savor the last few rays of sunlight. It’s when I feel the most at ease, at peace.
