There are countless government and non-government organizations working for the welfare of the unprivileged children. But, not every organization is effective and corrupt-free. There are many NGOs that are showing a wrong picture to the public by using their hard money for the selfish motive. So, the question arises how one can find the appropriate NGO for poor children? There are few guidelines that can assist you in finding the genuine NGO such as:

1. The effective organizations use at least 70 % of the fund for the welfare of the deprived children. There are many NGOs that retain 50-70% of the money raised for the unfair means. They just mint the money of others for their own good.

2. Watch out where your money is being spent and the results of your charity. You can even ask the organization to show their accounts for your satisfaction.

3. Genuine NGOs follow the rules formulated by the government. Breaching the rules and regulation is not a symbol of an authentic NGO.

4. Real NGOs provide the receipt of your charity, which is a proof of your contribution at a legal NGO. By this, you can lessen the probability of encountering frauds in the name of donation.

5. A real NGO has a clear set of goals and values that encouragers others to contribute without any hesitation. They have apt tactics to execute the plans effectively.

6. Authentic organizations work with complete transparency, responsibility and democracy in operations.

He opened by shaking my hand, ran a solid "just need a few dollars for gas" routine, built rapport through telling me about his life, and almost landed the whole spiel clean when he slipped himself up by opting for the Jesus gambit in the closing seconds..

"I'm a firm believer in Jesus Christ. You believe in Jesus right?" 

*Giggles* "It's kinda interesting you should ask that."

Ha. Don't get me wrong. I wasn't rude and I wasn't gonna give him money either way. But seeing his face fall off when his routine hit an unanticipated hitch was almost worth the price of admission.  Threw his whole game into dispersion.
