Beetroot
Yes, I am drinking a beetroot tea! Why are you trying to judge me!? It’s so sweet without any added sugar...mmmm... Now where was I? Ah, yes.
I saw video my friend posted online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANjG877NQv0 And I can so relate. My new year’s resolution was to de-clutter and basically not buy anything new unless really needed. I’ve watched myself buy new things, knowing I still have some left/ something similar at home. Such pointless behaviour in the pursuit of ‘happiness’ in this capitalist/ consumerist/ materialistic society. I’m not playing this game anymore.
I’ve been reading more lately. Particularly, people’s accounts of their life and what happened in their families’ time. I’ve just been blown away by it all really, especially with the political atmosphere of their times and right now. Man, it doesn’t change does it? History really does just repeat itself.
More to my thoughts of moving abroad, I have been thinking of using my career (and the rest of my life) for philantropic purposes. I’ve not really sorted this through in my head yet, but working for an NGO or something. I’m still in the precontemplation/ contemplation stages of that, so I’ll give updates later.
Recently a friend asked if she could read this blog. But she knows the people I’ve talked about on this...awkward... (I’ll show you later).
I’m outies.
